Self-assessment reminders and payslips: January 2016

We have been advised that HMRC will not be issuing paper statements and payslips to self-assessment taxpayers to remind them of the 31 January 2016 filing and payment date unless the taxpayer has filed their 2014/15 tax return by 31 December 2015.

HMRC will provide electronic reminders for those taxpayers that have signed up to receive messages from them digitally.

We understand that the Revenue will be publicising the position widely in the run-up to the 31 January 2016 filing deadline.
